FAQs—
How do you pronounce your last name?
Gil-or-ee. Helpful visual here.
In what order should I read your books?
If you would like to read the books in release order, it is: The Wedding Date, The Proposal, The Wedding Party, Royal Holiday, Party of Two, While We Were Dating, By the Book, Drunk on Love. The first six books are linked; By The Book is unrelated to any of the other books, and Drunk on Love is (potentially) the beginning of a new series. But also:
Do I have to read your books in order?
No! There’s no need to read them in order! The first six books are loosely linked to one another, and characters from one book will pop up in another, but all of the books stand alone! And Drunk On Love is all brand new people.
I love your books, do you have recommendations for other books I might like?
Check out my Bookshop page, where I’ve made a lot of lists of books I enjoy, including a list of romance novels I love!
How did you get started in writing and publishing?
I tell the story of how I got started writing here!
I’ve written a book and want to get it published, what do I do?
If your goal is traditional publication, the first thing to do (after you revise and revise and make it as good as it can be) is to query agents; I talk about the process and how I did it in my newsletter here!

Do you have any advice for people who want to be writers?
Read read read! As much as you can, but especially in the genre you think you may want to write in! Read books that you like and that you don’t like; figuring out your dislikes also helps you figure out what you want to do. And if there are books that you particularly love, reread them and take notes and figure out why you loved it! And then dive in and start writing and see how you feel.
Will you do an event in my town/at my bookstore/with my bookclub?
I love doing events! I can’t do all of the events that I’m invited to do, because I need time for writing, but the best way to reach out to me about an event is to email my publicist, Erin Galloway at egalloway@penguinrandomhouse.com. (If you reached out to me about this via a Facebook or Instagram message and I didn’t reply, apologies – because of the nature of messages on those platforms, I often don’t see them in time, or at all).
